JUNE 2017

June 8-11, 2017

Music City is starting the summer off right, with the biggest event in country music! The CMA Music Festival 2017. This colossal event runs from June 8th-11th. The festival takes place, primarily, in 3 venues in the vicinity of downtown Nashville: Riverfront Park Stage (along with many other stages throughout downtown), Music City Center and Nissan Stadium. All venues will feature legends in country music, as well as country’s newest stars!

The festival will have vendor booths, concerts, autograph and picture opportunities! It will host titans in the music industry, such as Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. You will also find today’s top artist, including Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini, Josh Turner, Florida Georgia Line and Chris Young! For Event packages

The CMA Music Festival also offers many free daytime music venues and other festival activities. There will be 7 stages throughout downtown that will showcase country music favorites and up and coming acts. Vendors will be set up along the Buckle on Broadway. They will have games set up and will be giving out freebies and samples of all sorts.


June 10, 2017

In the hope of finding new cures and therapies for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases, City of Hope is holding their annual celebrity softball match charity event. The game will take place on June 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Tickets will be offered at $15 and $35. 100% of event net profits will go towards the City of Hope’s mission to, “eradicate cancer and other life-threatening diseases”. The game will feature music and reality stars, as well as other local celebrities.



JULY 2017

July 4, 2017

Celebrate our nations birthday with live free music, family fun and fireworks! Music acts include Chris Young, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jonny P, the Sisterhood and the Nashville Symphony. The festivities will take place near Riverfront Park and a stage will be on Broadway. Venders selling food, drinks and merchandise will be available throughout the celebration area.

Top off your 4th of July celebration with the Grammy award winning Nashville Symphony. The cities extravagant firework display will be flawlessly timed with live music from the Symphony’s original works.

For soccer fans, be sure to catch the ICC soccer match between Manchester City and the Tottenham Hotspurs. The match will be held at Nissan Stadium on July 29th at 5:00 p.m. Use the link below for tickets and event updates.



August 21, 2017

Take part in history, on Monday, August 21, 2017. Be sure to have your box projectors and solar eclipse glasses and get ready for a truly spectacular occurrence. A total solar eclipse will cast its shadow across America, an event that hasn’t occurred in 99 years! The eclipse will cast a 70-mile-wide band from Oregon to South Carolina. NASA predicts it will be one of the worst traffic days in history, so prepare and try to avoid gridlock.

For approximately 2 minutes, the moon will completely cover the sun. The eclipse cycle process begins at 11:58 a.m. and ends at 2:54 p.m., with the total eclipse starting at 1:27p.m., and lasting 1 minute and 55 seconds.

August 18 – 21

2017 marks a special year for the 8th Annual Italian Lights Festival and Street Fair. It will be celebrated in conjunction with the occurrence of the total eclipse in Nashville. The event will be held at the Bicentennial Capital Mall. This festival celebrates everything Italian…food, wine, music, art and culture! This event is FREE, and is 4 days of Italian old country fare fused with Southern flare, and family friendly events. Bring your appetite for food and life!
